The Feed Delivery Scheduling Assistant (FDSA) is one of the four Planning and Projection Modules that utilizes the data maintained in the Information Managers. Alongside the other three modules, the circle of poultry production is complete, resulting in a more consistent and efficient operation and allowing for adjustments based on market fluctuations.

Flock performance profiles are the basis of a system that allows both long and short term forecasting. Feed formulas are created and maintained to ensure a healthy and consistent diet, resulting in maximum profitability. Multiple feeding programs and consumption tables are supported to account for all flock types grown by a company, including turkey operations and our new swine division. Consumption can be tracked according to breed, with seasonal variance considered to guarantee accurate projections and deliveries.

The interface with our Feed Load Out (FLO) program allows the FDSA to connect to the feed mill scale, supplying suggested load capture and actual delivery data. The FDSA also provides load priority management and truck and driver assignments to maximize delivery efficiency.

  • Calculates out-times for all broiler flock houses to determine proper delivery sequencing and feed type change-over
  • Calculates maximum amount of feed stored and determines how much feed can be sent to each house.
  • Projects days to empty of all grow-out flocks by house or by farm to schedule all deliveries through slaughter
  • Projects entire flock life feed schedule as soon as placement data is available, accounting for mortality
  • Considers processing plant schedule data from BRPA in projecting for the flock
  • Supplies delivery tickets to the BIM and BRIM for accounting and flock management, eliminating double entry
