The Breeder Planning Assistant (BPA) is one of the four Projection and Planning modules and utilizes data from the Breeder Information Manager (BIM) to project future placements, egg flows and hatch projections. Performance Profiles are created by breed with the option to apply seasonal factors to provide complete and accurate projections. Flock histories are imported from the BIM to adjust projections based on actual flock performance.

The BPA has the ability to create placement schedules based on a variety of factors and constraints. Some of these factors include capacity, livability, selling age and out time. The breed percentages can be defined so that placements are projected with the required breeds.

Once the placements are established, there are several projections available to generate egg flows. The Short Range Forecast uses a combination of actual flock history and performance profiles to project future flows. For those that just want to project the flows based on performance standards, the Long Range Forecast can be generated. Finally, the Global Forecast provides the ability to combine flows from different divisions to provide a company-wide projection.

  • Analyzes breeder flock performance by flock, farm, breed, housing equipment and season, to accurately project egg production
  • Identifies periods of long and short egg production, based on specified production targets
  • Long and short term forecasts for egg production and availability for set scheduling (HPA)
  • Considers all out-time requirements and housing availability for rearing and production stages, matching production cycle to flock movements
