The Live Animal Weighing System (LAWS) module provides a physical link to the processing plant scale to measure the gross and tare weights of live haul processing trucks. It operates much in the same way that our FLO system does in recording feed weight. Accurate weights are recorded when the truck arrives on site and again, after waiting, in order to calculate the on-site shrink.

LAWS completes the connection between our BRPA module and the processing plant. In BRPA, weekly projections are calculated and the processing schedule is sent to LAWS, so the plant knows the expected weight and headcount upon arrival. After the truck is weighed, and the shrink is calculated for accurate bird weight, that actual weight is compared to projected weight and sent to processing transactions in the BRIM module. While LAWS links to BRPA and BRIM, it can also be used as a stand-alone module.

  • LAWS works with the same functionality with our swine modules
  • Runs on a SQL Database or SQL Express
