Swine systems that increase your planning power.
Being one step ahead is the goal of effective supply chain planning. The Sow Planning Assistant provides you decision making power by allowing you to have a clear view of the current and future supply and demand requirements. Through detailed information which is directly accessed from the SMTS Information Management Systems (SIM and GIM), the SPA provides:
A key to the power that the SPA can bring is in the detail of information it receives from the swine management systems, SIM (Sow Information Manager) and GIM (Grower Information Manager). Because MTech-Systems newest v7 applications have the ability to maintain and provide data on a by animal, by day level of detail, planning decisions can be made with the utmost precision. Precise goals are met with an accurate view of Sow and Grower supply and demand information to project Gilt replacement needs and piglet production based on production targets and production capacities. Performance profiles are created by breed or genetic distinction with the option to apply seasonal factors in order to provide complete and actual projections. SPA imports historical herd data to make initial projections, but allows a user to update the projections with real-time information.
Adding further efficiency to your processes, SPA generates placement schedules for gilts transferring onto a sow farm as well as piglets being transferred to a nursery, while automatically recognizing predefined requirements or constraints within your particular user process. By simply pre determining standard variables such as genetic line, out time, age, distance, travel time, and weight, to more detailed variables such as specific breed types requirements or preferred delivery routes, the SPA produces profiles and calculations to quickly provide a schedule that optimizes your resources.
The projections can be run to produce both long and short range forecasts. The long range forecasts are typically based on company standards and long range business objectives. The short range forecasts take into account the long range projections, but also include real time data, herd history, and additional constraints, like transportation, in order to suggest up-to-date placement schedules. Finally, these forecasts, projections, or hypothetical scenarios can either run globally, by division, by region, or by farm; thus providing the flexibility to meet the demands of a growing business.
Ease of use is a key benefit with v7 SPA. MTech-Systems understands that a complex projection tool should only be complex behind the scenes but should allow the users in front easy to understand information that can be managed with little effort. That’s why SPA and all MTech-Systems v7 applications are easily adapted to best suite the individual preferences of each user. Additionally, override systems allow the user to update the projections with any changes that have been received from the field.
