With the Sow Information Manager (SIM), all of the data necessary to measure sow production is readily available, giving a user the ability to analyze performance by sow, producer, region, division, among other criteria. Performance metrics include, but are not limited to accounting statistics, field production performance values, and on-farm statistics. The SIM module is designed to support both commercial and multiplication farms. As such, a single module can support two very different business models.

From Gilt receiving or first insemination, the SIM tracks all costs associated with each animal. Cost are maintained by Sow through each phase of the production process. Production costs are accumulated until a user defined capitalization period. Cost can then be either expensed or allow the cost to carry forward with the weaned piglets to the nursery, providing full cost audit traceabilty.

Traceability is not simply reserved for cost. Each transaction, product, service, vaccination, contact that is made and recorded is maintained by Sow in the daily inventory and can then flow seamlessly to each linking stage of the process. This not only provides the highest power of informations for management and planning but allows the ability to provide immediate bio security and data scenario planning analysis.
