User Interface and Database Redesign

Developed completely in Windows.Net, some of the key new features and improvements focus on the user-interface and general design of the database. Using globally familiar Windows applications such as Outlook as a design template brings the user expanded comfort and consistency in working with the application front end. Additionally the complete database restructure results in improved performance and a simplicity in managing the master tables, interfaces with other data as well as drastically expanding report writing capabilities.

As with previous versions of PMTS, V7 includes support for most major languages. However the ability to change languages on the fly or assign language per user login significantly streamlines the distribution of the system to users across multi-national divisions or facilities.

One of the primary advantages of the new user-interface is the simple ability of the user to define their own screen work-space to meet their typical use of the system. In this first image you will see that users can open any function from the various suites concurrently. This might result in viewing a entity master screen with accumulated data alongside the numerous transactions that make up the master values, which is very useful for auditing performance and costing reports.

Therefore, every input screen can be customized by each user to display or hide any of the variables, choose the order and width of the columns, lock columns to a screen area while other columns are scrolled, as well as group and sort on-screen records by any of the columns displayed.

While the report capabilities of PMTS V7 are unparalleled in their flexibility, often users want to create ad-hoc output based on filtered and sorted on screen records. To accomplish this users simply can export any screen to one of the many supported output formats.
